The Tineco S6 is 9.92 pounds, while the S7 Pro comes barely heftier at 11.31 pounds.

One of the direct reasons for the weight of the S7 Pro is its bigger clean water tank capacity. The S7 Pro has an 850ml clean water tank, while the S6 features a smaller 800ml tank. Both models share the same dirt water tank capacity of 720ml.

The way Tineco Floor One S6 and S7 look may appear alike at first glimpse, but there are considerable differences. 

In the S6, there is an LED display with display icons – these icons blink respective of that function. 

On the other hand, the S7 Pro features a large 3.6-inch LCD screen. This LCD upgrades the user experience by showing all cleaner functions in an animated and highly graphical manner – a visually engaging option.

Self-Propelled Design

The S7 and S6, both are self-propelling. But there is a considerable difference.

Before letting you know that, let’s uncover how this self-propulsion helps.

When driving a standard vacuum cleaner, you put some noticeable pressure on it. Right? Yes. 

But with these tineco models, much less effort is required. To move the Tineco S6 and S7, push on the handle slightly. The wheels understand and automatically propel in that direction – requiring very slight pressure compared to most market vacuums.

Now, speaking of the crucial difference – In the S6, the wheels assist when you move the vacuum forward, but in the S7 Pro, in both directions, either forward or backward, the S7 surpasses the S6 in ease of cleaning.

Suction Power & Battery Life

The Tineco Floor One S6 and S7 deliver similar cleaning force – the brush rollers in the vacuums rotate at 450 revolutions per minute (RPM) speed – not so impressive compared to non-mopping vacuum cleaners but termed “high” in the peer of wet-dry cleaners.

In auto, suction, and ultra modes, tineco’s are silent in action. And in max, you can observe a rise in sound level.

Working in default mode, with a full 100% charge, the S6 works up to 35 minutes, whereas the S7 Pro works up to 40 minutes.

For a single-family home with approximately 2500 sq. ft area and more than that, the Tineco S7 Pro operates for a longer time without draining up. For the houses with sq. ft less than 2400 sq. ft, this run time difference doesn’t count.

iLoop Smart Sensor & Cleaning Modes

All the Floor One S-series models we have reviewed in the last two years feature iLoop technology sensors located at the front of the cleaners, unlike the iFloor variants. 

These sensors detect dirt load and automatically alter suction power as required. It makes everything top-notch in terms of effectiveness and efficiency.

But sometimes, out of the box, we all look for suction and water flow control in our hands based on the type of dirt we come across. Floor One S6 and S7 Pro help in that – both offer valuable cleaning modes. 

The S7 Pro, in particular, excels with four cleaning modes, while the S6 has three.

First, let’s uncover three cleaning modes that are common in both wet-dry cleaners:

1. Auto Mode: In this default cleaning mode, the vacuum automatically adjusts the suction and water flow volume based on the sensor input, as discussed earlier. 
2. Max Mode: This mode is helpful if you want to set the suction to the highest level and clean.
3. Suction Mode: You don’t want the cleaner to wet mop in a particular area? This mode is ideal.

Now, the mode exclusive to the S7 Pro is Ultra mode.

Ultra Mode: The Floor One S7 Pro is designed to convert the clean water inside into electrolyzed water when it is in Ultra Mode. This Electrolyzed water is exceptional for cleaning, removes tough stains, eliminates bacteria, viruses, and allergens, and doesn’t leave any wet floor smells.

Do you need to use Tineco’s cleaning solution? 

Yes, with S6. Not required with S7 Pro.

Self-Cleaning + Centrifugal Air Drying – S7 Pro Outperforms

Tineco wet-dry cleaners S6 and S7 Pro have self-cleaning and centrifugal air-drying features.

When you press the self-clean button after the cleaning cycle, the internal vacuum tube, brush roller, and compartment are all washed out with clean water. After water flushing, the roller rotates fast to dry, called centrifugal air drying.

In Tineco S7, there are two additional things:

1. Instead of normal water, you can set the vacuum to self-clean using the electrolyzed water.
2. Parallel to the rotating brush roller, the wind is blown onto the roller.

Both of these enhance the self-clean process and results significantly.

Another crucial difference:- The Floor One S6 offers a single self-clean option called “quick clean,” which finishes the whole process in 2 minutes. 

On the other hand, the S7 Pro provides two options: “quick clean” and “super clean.” Quick clean, like in the S6, takes 2 minutes, while the super clean takes 6 minutes, uses more water, and offers a thorough self-cleaning.

Edge-Cleaning – Which is More Suitable?

Both the cleaners’ design supports dual-side edge cleaning.

In Tineco vacuums, we tend to get concerned about their edge cleaning abilities. Dual-edge cleaning, in particular, is something we often wish for in base to high-end cleaners.

However, Tineco takes a unique approach. In the S3 and S5 series, edge cleaning is somewhat different. There’s no edge cleaning in the S3 and only one side in the S5 series. Only top-end models offer dual-side edge cleaning.

The MHCBS tech

The MHCBS stands for Maintain Hygiene Cleaning Brush System – is a significant advancement, equipped in the Floor One S6 and S7 Pro models.

Here is how it functions:

1. At the machine’s base, you would find 16 water spray holes fronted toward the brush roller, providing an evenly distributed water flow onto the roller to maintain uniform cleaning.
2. And these models are with the floating scraper. It’s affixed to one side of the rubber roller. It constantly presses down on the roller, squeezing out the dirty water. This water then goes back into the dirt water tank. 

We call this ‘Premium’ because the floating scraper adjusts with the roller movement, pushing it to work more effectively than the fixed scrapers in base to mid-level Tineco models.

The Floor Surfaces

Please note that Tineco Floor One S-series are specifically developed for working on sealed floors. They’re not suitable for carpets because their framed suction power is to work at a balanced range for sealed floors. Also, using them on carpets can break the carpet fibers.

However, regarding hardwood and tile, it’s hard to find wet-dry cleaners that serve better than these Floor One models.

We find that on a few low-pile carpets, these models work okay. But it doesn’t mean you clean those directly based on our word. 

Test run on a small section of the carpet first and check the vacuum roller to see if there are any carpet fibers clung to it. After making sure, you can proceed to clean the whole carpet.
